What started as a homebrewing hobby has grown into a small farm brewery
right here in Winslow, Maine.
From a Hobby to Small Farm Brewery
Small Farm Brewery started as a homebrewing hobby in my kitchen in 2007.
Over the years, I kept learning, upgrading my equipment, and brewing
bigger batches.
Eventually, that hobby grew into something much larger. I began rebuilding
the old barn on the farm and turning part of it into a place where I could
brew year-round. A lot of the brewery you see today was built here one
piece at a time.
In the spring and summer of 2025, I began selling growlers from the brewery.
Since then, I’ve continued working on the brewery and tasting area,
including a new handcrafted live-edge bar.
Today, Small Farm Brewery is still what the name says — a small brewery
on the farm in Winslow, Maine, making beer in small batches and continuing
to grow a little at a time.
Brewing on the Farm
The brewery has grown from a homebrewing setup into a dedicated
small-batch brewing system inside the barn.
This is where the beer is brewed today — still hands-on, still small,
and still made right here on the farm.
Still Growing
Small Farm Brewery is still a work in progress, and that is part of the story.
The tasting area continues to take shape as the brewery grows.
One of the newest additions is a handcrafted live-edge bar, built to fit
the same small-farm feel as the rest of the brewery.
There is always something being improved, built, or brewed here on the farm.
